9th Vision Impaired Canadian Curling Championship

The annual AMI Canadian Vision Impaired Curling Championship (CVICC) will be taking place at the Ottawa Curling Club, 44 O’Conner Street, Ottawa, Ontario from February 5-8, 2013.

As part of Canadian Council of the Blind’s annual nationwide White Cane Week awareness events the Championship is a showcase for persons with vision loss to demonstrate “ability not disability.”
The champions, Team Canada, from Kitchener, Ontario willl be defending their title against 7 other teams of vision impaired curlers from across Canada. Other competing teams include:

Team New Brunswick (Miramichi)
Team Newfoundland (St. John’s)
Team Nova Scotia (Sydney)
Team Ontario (Simcoe, BC)
Team Saskatchewan (Regina)
