Congratulations to Mayflower's Stuart Thompson, who swept through the field with a 7-0 record to defend his AMJ Campbell Nova Scotia Junior Curling Championship Sunday night.
Stuart and teammates Luke Saunders, Scott Babin and Alex MacNeil hope to improve on last year's 9-3 record as they represent Nova Scotia at the 2013 M&M Meat Shops Junior Canadian Championship in Fort McMurray, Alberta from February 2-10, 2013.
On the junior women's side, Truro's Mary Myketyn-Driscoll scored 3 in the ninth and stole 1 in the tenth to capture the title from defending champ Emily Dwyer. She and teammates Taylor Clarke, MacKenzie Proctor and Sara Sears will make their first trip to Nationals.
Good luck to both teams!
