The PEI Junior Mixed Curling Championship takes place March 9-12 at the Montague Curling Club. There are two divisions in this event, for mixed curling teams age 20 and under, and age 15 and under.
Last year, the Charlottetown rink of Christopher Gallant, Emily Keen, Andrew Cameron, and Emma Matheson, with coaches Derrick Cameron and Peter Gallant edged the Tyler Smith foursome from the Charlottetown, Maple Leaf, and Silver Fox clubs by an 8-7 score to capture the PEI Junior Mixed championship, for curlers age 20 and Under. The 15 and Under division was not held due to insufficient numbers. Other members of the runner-up Smith rink were Jenny McLean, Eric Pidgeon, and Emily Gray, with coach Peter Pidgeon. This year, there are six teams entered in the 20 and under section, and five in the 15 and under. The Gallant rink are back to defend their title.
